Lords of the Fallen 2 Now In Early Development

December 17, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

A little over a month after the game released it’s first DLC, a sequel is in the works.

City Interactive Games and Deck 13 have confirmed that they are starting
development on Lords of the Fallen 2.

They are still
at the conceptual stage, so it may take some time before the game comes out,
but for the new franchise’s fans, this is welcome news indeed.

This news also comes a little over a month after CI released
the original Lords of the Fallen first DLC, Ancient Labyrinth.
Clearly, CI have a hit on their hands.

The game is a hardcore action RPG, often compared to Dark Souls,
but with its own personality and sensibility. Unlike From Software’s games,
Lords of the Fallen doesn’t rely on an impossibly steep difficulty
to keep fans playing. CI’s own lead producer, Tomasz Gop, claims
that they have put a higher emphasis on action games, and in fact also cites
fighting games such as Street Fighter and Tekken as
influences.

Are you a fan of the game? What would you like to see Deck 13
and CI do for the sequel? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
